商品详情
Ronghua is a millennia‑old traditional Chinese handcraft originating from the Tang Dynasty. Homophonous with the Chinese word for “prosperity”, it carries auspicious symbolism of wealth and good fortune.
Crafted with mulberry silk for its velvety pile, ronghua pieces are entirely handmade without any stitching. These everlasting decorative floral ornaments were historically known as “palace flowers”. Nanjing Ronghua won a gold medal at the 1915 Panama‑Pacific International Exposition and was inscribed onto the Jiangsu Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2007.
Created with authentic ronghua techniques, this piece faithfully recreates the long‑tailed tit’s sweet and endearing demeanor. It can be hard to tell it apart from a real bird at a quick glance.
Custom bird commissions are available besides long‑tailed tits. Finished works can be made into bag charms or brooches. Feel free to message me for inquiries.
